There are 10 short questions and we invite you to share your answers to help us gain insight into the current mood in the European plastics industry and projections for 2019.
Concerns about an economic slowdown in Europe are being fueled by a recession in Italy, the weakest economic growth in Germany in five years and a struggling automotive industry. Geopolitical and macroeconomic issues are also major concerns, ranging from trade tensions and logistics problems to the uncertainty about how exactly the UK will be leaving the EU. The abundance of headlines about the environmental impacts of plastic products and waste have also hit our industry?s entire value chain. Conversely, plastic materials offer exciting opportunities for the industry, as new technologies and approaches could transform plastics waste and more investments could support the transition to a circular economy.
