The transaction is expected to close by the end of March 2020.
The Minger group, which holds proprietary recycling technologies for engineering thermoplastics such as polyether ether ketone (PEEK), polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) and polyamide, has 26 employees and net sales of EUR 9.3m. Its business is centred on collecting engineering plastics waste from a network that spans a wide part of Europe as well as manufacturing and selling recycled plastic products.
The acquisition, said Mitsubishi, will allow it to establish an integrated business model for engineering thermoplastics, from manufacturing to sales, machining, collection and reuse. The move also aligns with the Japanese companyâ??s efforts to promote a circular economy, which is a key element in its â??Kaiteki Vision 30â?, a policy with goals for 2030 that forms the framework of Mitsubishiâ??s next medium-term management plan.09.03.2020 Plasteurope.com [244637-0]
