body.single-projects .post-content :not(p) img, body.single-post .post-content :not(p) img { display: none; } Food processing and packaging solutions company Tetra Pak is set to install a new photovoltaic (PV) panel array at its Denton, Texas campus in the US as part of its efforts to switch to renewable energy sources.The Denton campus, which is the company’s North American headquarters and houses offices, contains a pilot-scale food production plant and a factory that is engaged in the production of packaging material for Tetra Pak cartons.The company expects to complete the installation of the solar array by the end of November this year, after which the array will generate 1,027,638kWh of energy per annum.

It ensures we’re not tied to a finite resource to operate our business.“And by lowering our environmental footprint, we’re also supporting our customers’ goals to reduce their overall climate impact.”As part of the clean energy push, the company aims to use 100% renewable electricity in the US by next year and globally by 2030.In the last two years, Tetra Pak has increased its use of renewable electricity by a factor of two and half times through the purchase of International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs) and solar power installations.Tetra Pak is a member of RE100, which is a collaborative initiative comprising 100 major businesses committed to using 100% renewable electricity.The company has more than 23,000 employees based in over 80 countries.
