Borealis (Vienna / Austria;
www.borealisgroup.com) has successfully concluded the transaction to fully acquire plastics recycler
Ecoplast Kunststoffrecycling (Wildon / Austria;
www.ecoplast.com) ? see Plasteurope.com of
20.07.2018. Ecoplast processes around 35,000 t/y of plastics waste from households and industrial consumers.
Borealis says it expects the recycled polyolefins market to substantially grow up to 2021. The Austrian chemicals group has been strengthening its recycling strategy in recent years. In 2014, it started offering PP compound grades containing 25% and 50% post-consumer recyclate, targeted to the automotive industry ? see Plasteurope.com of
30.05.2014. It also took over German plastics recyclers
mtm plastics (Niedergebra;
www.mtm-plastics.eu) and
mtm compact (Fürstenwalde) in 2016 ? see Plasteurope.com of
06.07.2016. Since then, Borealis says it has continued to invest in the development of circular polyolefins.30.08.2018 Plasteurope.com [240561-0]
