The new material can be used in bundle shrink films as secondary packaging for transport of cans, bottles, bricks or cardboard boxes. Repsol says its 50RX2805 grade allows plastics converters to incorporate 25-30% post-consumer recyclate in the formulation of the final film, without altering mechanical properties. The Madrid-based group notes that this advances its commitment to a circular economy by putting solutions on the market that will generate additional demand for plastics recycling.
This is in line with Repsol?s voluntary pledge as part of the ?Circular Plastics Alliance? launched by the
European Commission in December 2018 ? see Plasteurope.com of
