Erema Group concludes a successful K 2019

Austrian recycling machinery supplier Erema Group has reported an ‘all round positive’ assessment of its presence in the world’s biggest plastic & rubber trade show - K 2019.

All seven companies and business units of the group participated at the show in Düsseldorf, Germany, last month, with the group presenting its entire range of products and services at the expo.

The company said it recorded a “very pleasing number of sales” at the event, noting that Erema’s products were ideally positioned to offer tailor-made solutions for a wide range of recycling requirements.

With the circular economy and plastics recycling being some of the key topics at this year's K, Erema created a display platform at its Circonomic Centre where visitors were able to experience both themes live every day.

Set up in cooperation with 30 partners, the outdoor Circonomic Centre, according to Erema, became “one of the most popular visitor attractions” at the show, demonstrating a large variety of products made of recycled plastic.

"Our goal was to work with our partners to draw attention to what is technologically possible in terms of recycling and the circular economy and what has already been implemented successfully and cost effectively,” said Manfred Hackl, CEO of the Erema Group.

The platform, Hackl said, was set up to provide a strong impetus to bring about new recycling projects even faster.

“The visitor interest and the high level of positive feedback we have received show that we have succeeded very well together with our customers and partners," he added.

As reported by Plastics News Europe during K, some of the technological highlights of Erema at the show included Vacunite in the bottle-to-bottle segment, the new Intarema ZeroWastePro in-house recycling system, the company’s digital customer platform BluPort, and the ReFresher technology.

Back at company headquarters in Ansfelden, the company said work on expanding the site - including doubling the manufacturing space - is in full swing.

Completion and start-up are scheduled for spring 2020, Erema added.
