Axion to Showcase ELV-derived Recycled PP and ABS Grades at Interplas 2020

Axion Polymers will be showcasing its range of locally sourced and produced Axpoly® recycled PP and ABS polymers grades at Interplas 2020 from Sept 29 – Oct 1 2020. Axion’s technical sales team will be available on stand A8 to discuss how injection-molders and manufacturers can use high quality recycled polymers, or bespoke blends with virgin material, in a wide range of product applications.
Advanced Re-processing Plants for ASR
Axion Polymers produces two types of recycled polymer pellet from its advanced re-processing plants for Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) derived from End of Life Vehicles (ELV) and mixed waste electrical goods (WEEE). These are Axpoly® PP (polypropylene) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).
At the in-house laboratory and testing facilities, Axion’s expert team works with customers to formulate specific grades to match their polymer physical properties requirements. Trials can also be conducted in house, and at customers’ own factories to ensure the recycled polymer is suitable for customers’ particular applications.
Axion Polymers Business Development Manager Mark Keenan comments, “At our two processing sites, we have developed a unique process that refines our sustainable and secure UK source of infeed material into high-quality engineering polymers that match virgin material quality.
Reliable Customer Support
More manufacturers, especially those in the automotive and electrical sectors, are looking to increase recycled content or switch to using recycled polymer in new goods. Here at Axion Polymers, we can help customers do that by offering a reliable supply of quality-assured recycled polymers and expert support on site to help with their machinery set up, if required.”
Mark adds, “As a proud ‘Made in Britain’ member, we are looking forward to welcoming visitors at the UK’s Number One plastics show and explain how our secure recycled polymer supply chain can provide sustainable solutions for all types of manufacturers.”
