Domino opens Florida facility
Scrap recycler Domino Plastics Co. Inc. announced March 1 that it has expanded with a new warehouse in Wildwood, Fla.
The Port Jefferson, N.Y.-based Domino said the warehouse adds to its other locations in California, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Michigan and Texas.
The company recycles polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, vinyl and other materials from a variety of processes, including injection molders and thermoformers in the packaging and automotive markets.
In December, Domino was part of a project with the Plastics Industry Association's New End Market Opportunities program to find more uses for recycled materials.
The effort mixed 4,000 pounds of recycled PE supplied by Domino with asphalt for a parking lot repaving at a LyondellBasell Industries technology center in Cincinnati. The National Center for Asphalt Technology was also part of the project.
