More than 50 selected experts attended the official launch of the new Circular Economy project: bounCE4ward. Participants actively exchanged ideas and opinions at the webinar on 22 April.
The debate focused on three topics. The best sectors of the Circular Economy to open to strategic autonomy, the circularity of EU’s economic sectors and the actions needed to make the EU economy more resilient.
Most experts agreed on food, electronics, ICT, capital equipment, textiles, construction materials, or logistics as areas potentially strategic.
Also discussed was the need to map material flows, lift legal barriers, increase data-exchange and ensure private and public financing of the circular economy.
This project will continue with the recruitment of its lead scientist. The vacancy is posted here
