Financial terms or the size of the share holding were not disclosed.
Sintac claims to be one of the leading companies in the field of plastic recycling in Spain, with a wide range of recycled products made from industrial, household and agricultural plastic waste. The company also offers consulting services for recycling and the circular economy.
The alliance with GCR is intended to expand the range of recycling products for plastics processors in Europe and worldwide. The Sintac team and structure are to be retained, and the company is expected to receive assistance from GCRâ??s technical staff.
GCR has more than 200 employees at two locations in Spainâ??s Catalonia region: two production plants operate at the headquarters in La Bisbal del Penedà¨s, and another is based in Barberà  del Vallà¨s. Plastics processors are supplied in more than 100 countries, primarily on the European continent.
GCR said it sees itself as the market leader in Western Europe for post-industrial recyclates made of polyethylene, polypropylene and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). In addition, they say they are number one in Europe for fillers based on minerals such as calcium carbonate, talc, silicon derivatives and other special minerals. The Catalan group also produces talc compounds based on recycled PP especially for the automotive industry and has a technology division with a test centre.17.09.2021 Plasteurope.com [248575-0]
