Nouryon Expands Organic Peroxides Capacity in China Facility
Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, announced that it will invest in its facility in Ningbo, China, to increase the capacity of organic peroxide products Perkadox® 14 and Trigonox® 101. With this investment, Nouryon will double the annual production capacity of these products to 6,000 tons each by mid-2024. These essential products will support growing regional and global demand for a variety of applications including hygiene products and non-woven textiles used in health care. Additional applications include plastics recycling, and a wide range of rubber goods, including rubber hoses, seals, cable insulation, athletic shoe soles, and yoga mats.

Both Perkadox 14 and Trigonox 101 organic peroxides can be used to enhance the properties of recycled polypropylene. This allows customers to use recycled plastics in applications previously only accessible to virgin plastics.

Nouryon operates seven production sites in Greater China, among which the Ningbo site is the biggest. It is comprised of seven plants that produce chelates, ethylene amines, cellulose ethers, organic peroxides, surfactants, and expandable microspheres.Â
