Cefic granted funding to advance PMMA recycling in EuropeThe European Chemical Industry Council
(Cefic, Brussels / Belgium; www.cefic.org
) has plans to improve PMMA recycling technology ? it has secured funds from the EU's "Horizon 2020" research and innovation programme for its "MMAtwo" project. The methacrylates sector group
, which operates within Cefic, will play a role in the project as a member of the advisory board. Recycling of just 10% of the PMMA produced in Europe could represent an additional market value of around EUR 1 bn.
