'Plastics shape the future' at K 2019

Düsseldorf, Germany — Visitors to K 2019 will see a special show, “Plastics shape the future,” which will present pioneering applications for polymer materials and take a closer look at how these materials are affecting modern environments.

The show scheduled for Oct. 16-23 in Düsseldorf, will focus this year on the interconnection between the digital world, production processes and new product developments as well as on the promotion of the circular economy.

Werner M. Dornscheidt, CEO and President of Messe Düsseldorf, and his team are delighted that companies from the plastics and rubber segment have again selected the K trade show as their perfect platform for their corporate success:

“One thing is already clear: K 2019 will again provide a comprehensive overview of the global market,” said Werner Dornscheidt, CEO and President of Messe Düsseldorf. “Thanks to its unrivalled internationality, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors, and because it covers a unique product and service range, this tri-annual trade show has a special status among global trade shows and provides the perfect stage for pioneering presentations.”

At the Science Campus, university and research organizations will present current activities and results focused on innovative materials and technologies with a substantial impact on global challenges such as water, energy and waste management, resource efficiency, digitization and sustainable development.

Additional presentations are planned on training and development in the plastics and rubber sectors, and on additive manufacturing.

The show organizer expects more than 3,000 exhibitors at K 2019. The last show, in 2016, attracted a total of 232,000 trade visitors from 161 countries. For information, www.k-online.com.
