Fibre group to focus on circular economyStacking up the fibres at the company warehouse (Photo: Lenzing/Christian Leopold)Austrian fibre maker Lenzing (Lenzing; www.lenzing.com) has modified its corporate strategy. While the Austrian company intends to continue focusing on fibres â?? including polypropylene fibres â?? for textiles and nonwovens, it wants to push ahead with the changeover from a linear to a circular model partially through the expansion of sustainable energy sources.
As this strategy also needs to be financially worthwhile, Lenzing is aiming to post EBITDA of more than EUR 1 bn in 2027 and a return on capital employed of at least 12%. Last year, the group reported EBITDA of EUR 363 mn on sales of EUR 2.19 bn. To keep the shareholders happy, the goal is also to provide a dividend of at least EUR 4.50 per share from 2023.29.06.2022 Plasteurope.com [250553-0]
