UBQ Materials to Showcase Expanded Ecosystem Footprint of Climate Positive Thermoplastic, UBQ™, at K 2022

UBQ Materials, climate tech developer of advanced materials made from organic and unrecyclable waste, announced today its expanded ecosystem footprint at K 2022, taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany, October 19-26, 2022.

UBQ Materials will exhibit independently and be featured in the booths of more than eight additional materials ecosystem players which have incorporated UBQ™ into their offerings. Partners at the event include:

K 2022 is the leading business platform and trade show for the plastics and rubber industry, with global players from across the field presenting future perspectives and solutions. Topics at this year’s event include circular economy, digitization and climate protection.

UBQ Materials converts unsorted household waste, including all organics, into a bio-based, homogeneous thermoplastic that replaces oil-based resins and wood in thousands of durable products across industries. The company recently received UL 2809 Recycled Content Validation confirming the novel UBQ™ material contains  a minimum of 100 percent post-consumer recycled content. Headquartered in Israel, the company is expanding globally with a large-scale facility in the Netherlands, set to open in 2023. The facility will produce 80,000 tons of UBQ™ annually.

Since exhibiting at K 2019, UBQ has expanded its customer base, partnering with leading brands including PepsiCoMcDonaldsMercedes-Benz and AB InBev, as well as its industry partners who will co-present their offerings “Made with UBQ” at K 2022.
